Shrivel is an expression of my curiosity and adoration for the finer details of the natural world. When a plant dies it shrivels, contorts, and takes its final form before decomposition. The intricate patterns that have formed over the life of the plant are preserved, but fragile and colorless. By reintroducing light and color, I express the whimsy and joy that these otherwise overlooked specimens evoke.
